A Health Management Company is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill this position
Manage and coordinate the initial assessment, analysis, requirements, development, testing and implementation of incremental enhancements/change requests and other minor releases to our Core Insurance system.
Project manage and perform the business systems analysis work associated with core Insurance change requests, projects, assessments and escalated issues.
Work closely with the CEO, CIO and HODs, Group IT and the Systems vendor to ensure efforts are synchronized and coordinated as efficiently as possible. He will be responsible for managing assignments with a matrixed set of resources.
Comprehend complex business requirements and translate the requirements to a functional system design document under the guidelines of a SDLC based framework.
The candidate should have a good grasp of system/solution design and the skills to propose several alternatives in solving a problem.
Solid written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills are mandatory, along with an orientation to detail and deadlines.
Must be able to work in phases of systems analysis and data analysis. Communicate status, prioritizes requirements, influences and obtains approval for requirement documentation. Will be expected to guide and recommend process and system solutions to business owners.
Monitor and manage the day-to-day performance of the enterprise applications and integrated systems. Inclusive of related technology platforms (hardware, operating system, network, hardware and applications functionality).
Responsible for incident management, problem management, quality assurance and application testing for the enterprise applications.
Work with the business managers to manage the availability planning and change management for the enterprise application – inclusive of defining and executing pro-active and scheduled maintenance activities – patches, upgrades and customizations and so on.
Partner with the HMO business leads to understand their process, functional and technical requirements and translate these requirements into application enhancements.
Assist with the planning and implementation and day to day management of business continuity activities inclusive – of back-ups and restoration processes and other business risk and mitigation activities.
Assist with IT strategic planning activities – inclusive of budgeting, capacity management, vendor and solution evaluation and selection, service provider selection and performance monitoring.
Assist – as directed – with other aspects of the Group IT service delivery and assurance to the Group.
Possesses exceptional client management skills. Can mentor Junior Business Systems Analysts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
4+ years of experience in leading software development, implementation and administration teams in all aspects of the SDLC with a strong emphasis on Enterprise Application Architecture, Client Server, Web-based applications and Internet Systems architectures.
4+ years of experience in ERP applications administration – specialist knowledge, expertise and experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise applications (such as Oracle, SAP) and related applications architectures and platforms.
3+ years of experience in database administration – advanced knowledge, expertise and experience in managing relational databases and SQL Programming Language, Oracle RDBMS, DB2, SQL Server), Data Modeling, Data Warehouses, Single-Sign-On.
3+ years of experience in systems administration – advanced knowledge of MS Server, Unix and Linux operating systems.
IT Management – must be fully conversant with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles. Evidence of training in one or more modules will be an advantage.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of IT and application access controls, including end-user computing tools in a complex cross-functional organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Energetic, highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently and productively.
Candidate must show evidence of a very strong academic record – as this position will require advanced functional and technical training.
